Top men thirst for power
Politicians watch their back
And women even claim
It's an aphrodisiac.

Yes, I admit I crave it
Probably more than most
If my leccy's cut again
I'll have no beans on toast.

Leccy, electricity, electricity bill.

  1. How quickly and adroitly you went from sublimely abstract to everyday reality. What a clever turn. I bet even Ms. Ingrid does feel a certain surge when it’s MONEY and POWER; one of the thermodynamic laws at work there. Politics is simply the mode-o-day, the blue suit instead of the pinstripe, a means to an end. Well done!

    • Sublimely abstract to everyday reality. I love that. Honestly, it makes me sound like I know what I am doing. I thought that I was just writing ditties!😂😂
