Gerry Marsden, how did you do it?

His ferry has finally crossed
His dreams are all tossed and blown
Though the fans on the Kop may be lost
Gerry, you will never, walk alone.
Gerry Marsden MBE, lead singer of Gerry and the
Pacemakers has died at the age of 78.  The
group had several hits including, 'How do you do it?'
'Ferry, Cross the Mersey' and 'You'll never walk alone'.
'You'll never walk alone' became a football terrace anthem for the kop of his hometown club, Liverpool. RIP.
