A tribute to Tina
A tribute to Tina
Cottonfield baby,
Abandoned by mom.
Deserted by father,
Too tough to succumb.
You rock the house baby,
You rock the house.
Blessed with a voice
Of an angel who rocks.
Your fist happy husband
Was calling the shots.
You rock the house baby,
You rock the house.
He left you with nuthin'
Apart from your name
Which you shrewdly perceived,
Was your gateway to fame.
You rock the house baby,
You rock the house.
Your sexual presence,
Left fans screaming, more.
High octane dance moves,
And legs to die for.
You rock the house baby,
You rock the house.
Not private, your dancing,
From public, no rest.
You deserve happiness.
You are simply the best.
You rock the house baby,
You rock the house.

Very much so, but not performing, sadly. Someone I wanted to see live, but never did!

a magnificent tribute to Tina Turner; I love it; love the chorus : she really did know how to rock the house — and she had a fierce independence — she got on very well without Ike π

Thank you! I watched a recent documentary and she is now living a peaceful life in Switzerland with her second husband. She had brilliant stage presence, and it makes a pleasant change for an icon’s story to end happily.

oh, great refrain and feels like it has a great jazzy beat. Fun to read and then repeat. You rock the house, Hobbo!
