Confusing Astronomy As the Moon's a balloon, And the Sun has been spun, If Saturn's a spoon And Uranus, your bum. When Mercury melts, And Jupiter rocks. If Venus wears belts That she stole from Mar's frocks. As Earth is the third Little rock from the sun, Then how have you heard Which planet I am from.
Last night I had a great night blog-wise. Tonight I haven’t understood much of what I’ve read and I have no idea what I”m going to write. π But I think I can safely say that I didn’t hear which planet you’re on at all. And equally, I don’t know which planet I’m on either!!

a nice bit of nifty nonsense; I enjoyed the playfulness of this, esp the bit about Venus stealing the belt from Mars’ frock π

That’s where the apostrophe should have gone, I knew it didn’t look right!

When my Lancashire mate had little kids, he told me he couldn’t stop them farting. I gave him all sorts of tips, until I realised he meant fighting!

Very fun! I think it might be an accent thing, but is ‘on’ meant to rhyme with ‘sun’? For my accent it would rhyme better with, ‘which planet I’m from.’ on and un are pronounced very differently in my area, On with a fairly wide open mouth and Un with a barely open mouth. From is also barely open mouthed, so though it has an ‘m’ not ‘n’ it sounds similar to ‘sun’ when spoken.

Thank you. i think you’re right. It is an accent thing, but I’ve written from in my notebook. It is a better rhyme, but I changed it as I typed, which I sometimes do. I will change it back to from. Thanks for the heads up!.π

LOL… wasn’t meant as a ‘correction’ just a point of interest. π
