A gender agenda
Never one to be left on the shelf,
She worked hard, stuck up for herself,
Her driving ambition concealing,
She smashed her way through the glass ceiling
And earning her place in the board room,
She quickly nicknamed it the bored room,
So she quit, formed her own companies,
Now she chairs Planet Earth PLC.
Hobbo's Poems 
I looked up ‘Planet Earth PLC’ which was dissolved a few decades ago so assumed you don’t mean that one; but yes, I’ve read some wonderful Aussie stories about women chairing boardrooms and running companies:) this poem is a tribute to that movement !

I will second John’s comment. I couldn’t really figure out what the Planet Earth PLC was a reference to, even after googling. Does it have anything to do with one D Davies?

Too deep. Think Hobbo…think simple! Planet Earth PLC, my concise way of saying that able and capable women will one day be in charge of the whole planet. Hence the poems title. Apologies for being a bit obtuse👍☺

Lovely poem. There’s a part of me that wishes women who choose to stay home, care for their family and raise children, grow fruit and veg, cook and cook and damned well cook day in and day out for 50-ish years, that they to be given a thumbs up and not asked by other women, “So what do you do for a living?” It can be so demoralising when another woman asks that. Okay, I’ll stop filling your white space with my whining. 😂

That is not a whine Misky. It is a very valid point, and if more people, male or female, did the same then family bonds would be much stronger. If I could find the handclap emoji on this old phone, I would send a whole row of them to you, Mrs H, and the many thousands like you👍😊
