Allahu Akbar In the City of Love, barely six years ago, Well over a hundred were slain, But with so many atrocities since, We needed reminding again. How many thousands have died, And how many more are to follow. The depth of man's hatred of humans Leaves me bemused, upset, hollow. Then, lovingly gazing at you, My heart fills with wonder and pride, And I instantly know that it's true, God is great, and on everyone's side.
This is either very unexpected (from what I know of you) or very unexpected (from what I know of you). π Either way it’s stunningly sad. We are so privileged and fortunate, living where we do.

Last line is a straight arrow to the heart. A hard realization when you feel passionate about a topic, but I believe it is true. Wise words, my friend.

Thank you Karen. I do sometimes try and make a serious point, and I hope that not doing it too often helps to drive it home. π
