This week’s EIF Poetry Challenge was to write a ballad, on any subject: a lyrical poem which tells a story. The challenge A beautiful woman named Claire Sent her dad down a wire for a dare Like Castor and Pollux They trussed up his bollocks The height of it gave him a scare. He flew through the air like a plane From Portugal right into Spain She was clearly so proud But he said to the crowd "You won't get me on it again."
